How we verify providers

The directory's reputation depends on public, auditable criteria. Every listed provider passes through one of the three verification tiers below. The badge shown on each profile indicates which type of verification was completed.

T1 · Basic Verified

Confirms the provider exists legally and has an active digital presence.

  • Active legal entity in the Portuguese RNPC (national registry)
  • NIPC matches the public registry
  • Website resolves, uses HTTPS, has recent content (not abandoned)
  • No public regulatory red flags

T2 · Activity Verified

Confirms the provider is actively in the market, not just registered.

  • Everything in T1, plus:
  • LinkedIn or public portfolio updated within 6 months
  • Visible recent work (case studies, projects, posts)
  • Industry presence (events, articles, talks, partnerships)

T3 · Reference Verified

Confirms at least one real client vouches for the provider.

  • Everything in T2, plus:
  • At least 1 client reference contacted and confirmed the relationship
  • The reference can speak to project scope, quality, and communication
  • Reference identity is kept internally; only the "Reference Verified" badge is public

What we do NOT verify

Our verification covers existence, activity, and responsiveness. It does NOT cover:

  • Project outcomes (each project has its own context)
  • Pricing fairness (varies by scope and market)
  • Commercial disputes between provider and client
  • Current capacity to take on new projects
  • Fit with your specific company requirements

Use verification as a first filter — not as a final decision. The selection process (including direct conversation, proposals, additional references) remains the contractor's responsibility.

Editorial independence

The criteria above describe how we verify. The broader rules governing the directory — no paid ranking, no commissions, conflict of interest, pricing confidentiality, removal on request — are in our public editorial policy.

Re-verification

Every profile is re-verified quarterly. If public activity drops below T2 criteria, the badge drops automatically until next verification. If credible misconduct is flagged, the profile moves to "Flagged" while we investigate.
