Frequently Asked Questions

What is Madeira Digital?

An independent editorial hub that organises, in Portuguese, three things: MADEIRA2030 funding notices with a digital component, a verified directory of regional digital providers, and free resources (checklists, audits, guides) for SMEs going through digital transition.

How is the information kept current?

Notices are read directly at the official portals (IDR, MADEIRA2030, IAPMEI). Providers are re-verified quarterly against the public criteria at /directorio/criterios-verificacao. Whenever there is a relevant change (notice closes, provider drops below tier criteria, new program publishes), the page is updated.

How are you funded? Do you take commission from listed providers?

No. We do not sell advertising, do not charge to list, do not charge to upgrade verification tier, and do not take commission on projects users contract from listed providers. The operation is funded by non-commercial institutional partnerships and the team’s broader editorial work. Full rules at /editorial-policy.

How is provider verification performed?

Across three public tiers: T1 (Basic Verified) confirms legal existence and active website, T2 (Activity Verified) adds real market presence, T3 (Reference Verified) adds at least one confirmed client reference. Full criteria and what we do NOT verify are at /directorio/criterios-verificacao.

I am a digital provider in Madeira. How do I get listed?

Email info@madeiradigital.pt with company name, NIPC (tax ID), website, and the categories you operate in. We begin verification at T1 (~2 weeks). Listing is free; there is no paid premium tier.

Can I pay for a featured position or to upgrade verification?

No. We do not accept payment for position, featured slots, or tier upgrades. This is rule #1 of our editorial policy — protecting directory credibility above commercial inclusiveness.

I am a listed provider and want to leave the directory. How?

Email us from your company domain to info@madeiradigital.pt requesting removal. We remove without justification and publish a brief note indicating the page was removed on request (it does not vanish silently, to avoid speculation).

Does the directory show provider prices?

Only abstract range indicators (€ / €€ / €€€ / €€€€). We do not publish proposals, quotes, specific figures, or private correspondence. Providers control how their pricing reaches the market. This is rule #5 of the editorial policy — pricing confidentiality.

Does Madeira Digital help me apply to a MADEIRA2030 notice?

We do not do consulting, applications, or technical implementation. We publish notices with practical structure (eligibility, digital component, how to prepare) and route to /recursos/checklist-elegibilidade and to verified providers in the /directorio who can help. For execution, that is with them.

Where can I report a factual error?

Email info@madeiradigital.pt directly with the affected page and the suggested correction. Factual errors are fixed quickly and the change is visible on the page rather than silent.

Is the site in English too?

Partially. PT-PT is the primary language (target audience: SMEs and professionals based in Madeira). EN is secondary, aimed at expats and international investors evaluating the ecosystem. EN slugs are curated, not auto-translated — /avisos becomes /funding-programs in EN, /directorio becomes /providers, /sectores becomes /sectors.
